Creating Layered Jewellery with Shop Shapes

Did you know that you can still create beautiful layered pieces of jewellery with only our shop shapes options? If setting up a file or hiring a designer isn’t accessible to you, utilising our shop shapes can still give you the freedom to create complex designs. Simply choose a design from our range, the size you would like it, and your choice of material – we’ll take care of the rest. Have a look at these simple but effective ideas to create small pieces of layered art.

Step 1: Pick your Shapes

Have a look through our range of shapes and see if inspiration strikes. Look through similar themes and see what works together. Double-check the size options for the shapes you like to make sure they’ll fit together properly.

Step 2: Pick your Colours

Next you’ll have to choose your colour palette. If you’re having some trouble check out our other tutorial How to Choose your Perfect Combination. Consider purchasing some material swatches to see how they’ll look in real life.

Step 3: Wait

We’ll take care of all the designing, file set-up and cutting. We’ll have them finished as soon as possible and sent directly to you.

Step 4: Glue the Pieces together

Arrange your pieces the way you’d like, and glue them together. Check out How to Glue if you’re new to this process.

Step 5: Attach findings

Decide whether you’re creating earrings, a brooch or something else, and attach the relevant findings. Wait for your creation to set.

Once your pieces are dry, enjoy wearing or selling your new creations!
